Pricing Details and Inventory Status

MacRumors reports that the $200 discount applies uniformly across the entire M5 MacBook Air product family. For the 13-inch model with 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage, the price is $1,399. The top-tier 13-inch configuration, featuring 24GB of memory and 1TB of storage, costs $1,599. These reductions maintain the $200 gap between standard and premium tiers.

For the larger 15-inch display models, the 16GB/1TB configuration is listed at $1,599, down from its regular price of $1,799. The highest-specification 15-inch model, equipped with 24GB of memory and 1TB of storage, is available for $1,799. Availability and Delivery Estimates

Amazon has maintained stock levels for nearly every color option of the M5 MacBook Air during this sale, according to MacRumors. This availability extends to all storage configurations mentioned in the pricing breakdown. Shoppers can expect free delivery estimates to place most computers arriving around early next week. Prime members may receive their orders sooner than the standard estimate suggests.

MacRumors notes that Prime Day deals have generally started drying up, making this specific discount on Apple hardware a notable exception. The outlet is an affiliate partner with some vendors and may receive a small payment when purchases are made through their links. This affiliate relationship helps fund the site’s operations but does not influence the reporting of the price data.

What should you do?

Security professionals and IT procurement teams should verify the legitimacy of any purchase links before finalizing transactions for high-value hardware. Ensure that the seller is Amazon itself or an authorized Apple reseller to avoid supply chain risks associated with counterfeit or tampered devices. Check internal procurement policies to confirm that discounted hardware meets organizational security and warranty requirements.

What to do and how to stay safe: Apple

Verify that the seller is an authorized reseller to prevent supply chain tampering.
Confirm that the device serial number matches the purchase receipt upon arrival.
Check that the device firmware is up to date immediately after unboxing.
Ensure the hardware meets organizational security baseline requirements before deployment.
