Bose has reduced the price of its second-generation SoundLink Flex Bluetooth speaker to $99, according to a report by Neowin. This price point represents an all-time low for the device, offering a significant discount for consumers looking to purchase the durable audio hardware.
The promotion provides a 23 percent reduction from the speaker's regular cost. Neowin highlights that this specific deal marks the lowest price ever recorded for the updated SoundLink Flex model. The pricing adjustment applies to the current generation of the product, making it more accessible to a broader range of buyers while maintaining its premium feature set.
Context and Background
The SoundLink Flex is designed for durability and versatility in various environments. According to Neowin, the device includes automatic orientation adjustments, which allow the speaker to adapt its audio output based on how it is positioned. This feature ensures consistent sound quality whether the speaker is placed horizontally or vertically.
Multi-unit stereo pairing is another key capability of the second-generation model. Users can connect multiple speakers to create a wider soundstage or enhance volume levels. These features distinguish the Flex from basic portable speakers, justifying its position in Bose's product lineup despite the temporary price reduction.
Who Is Affected
Consumers interested in portable Bluetooth audio devices are the primary audience for this price drop. The $99 price point makes the second-generation SoundLink Flex competitive with other mid-range portable speakers on the market. Shoppers who have previously considered the device but were deterred by its higher regular price may now find the value proposition more appealing.
The discount does not appear to be limited to a specific region, though availability may vary by retailer. Neowin reports the deal as a notable market event for audio enthusiasts. The all-time low status suggests that this may be a limited-time offer, prompting immediate interest from potential buyers who monitor tech deals.
What should you do?
Consumers should verify the current pricing and availability through official Bose channels or authorized retailers. Since this is reported as an all-time low, the deal may not last indefinitely. Buyers should also check if the discount applies to other colors or configurations of the second-generation SoundLink Flex.
